Business Developer  (BD-Metro-111026-1)

NACON has a long-term requirement for an experienced Business Developer to be based in the D.C. Metro area. The position involves selling distance learning solutions with a focus on Information Assurance (IA) and cyber security within the federal and Department of Defense (DOD) market space.

Responsibilities include:  Working with NACON executives to develop, document, track and implement multi-level and multi-dimensional strategies and metrics for the sales program; develop customer, competitor, and market understanding for assigned market and to research customer needs and develop action plans for selling to customers; qualify leads and develop a prioritized pipeline of opportunities for business opportunities that grow the NACON business; establish and build relationships between NACON and high-level government decision-makers and budget administrators; use consultative selling techniques to better understand customer desires; and conduct internal and external customer briefings.

Qualifications:  Must have a minimum of 10 years related work experience with the majority in sales and buiness development.  A bachelor's degree is required.  Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

Must be able to demonstrate a record of significant business growth in the technology-based federal space or in the distance learning market.  Needs to display strong interpersonal skills and a solid networking ability.  Should be a self-motivator with high energy and a passion for developing new business.
