TEST ENGINEER (Position VTE-FGM-122211-1) NACON is seeking a stellar candidate with a TS/SCI clearance to work on a high-level government contract. Responsibilities: Writes test plans and test procedures to perform unit, subsystem and system-level testing of software and hardware components and integrated systems. Conducts independent testing to validate that requirements are properly implemented and conducts regression testing as needed. Writes test reports and discrepancy reports (DR) and assists the Configuration Management team in tracking the status of DR resolution. Requirements: TS/SCI. Degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Information Systems. 8 years of experience in testing systems with significant software components. 2 years of experience in testing systems at the component, integration, system and end-to-end levels. Understanding of basic UNIX, DOS and Windows commands. Experience writing test cases and writing discrepancy reports. Some knowledge of underlying programming languages (i.e., Java, C or C++) and knowledge of SQL construction and error analysis. Ability to evaluate, recommend and implement automated test tools and strategies; to create, maintain and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for software systems; to create test specifications and test cases as required to ensure validation of all defined requirements; to develop and run regression tests to ensure products are backwards compatible; and to use automated functional graphical user interface testing tools. Experience working with Scrum or other agile software development processes. This position is contingent upon winning the contract.
