Description
We are looking for a mid to senior level Web Programmer/Web Developer to work in a dynanmic and varied environment. Our online classroom product, VirtualOnDemand, is unique and exciting and delivers new capabilities to the Distance Learning market. Primary duties include working on our online classroom internals and assisting Courseware Developers with web and database programming tasks. This is a team effort to advance our classroom product and provide support to our growing customer base. NACON is a small, growing company in Eastport, across the creek from downtown Annapolis, Md. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shadow Product Developers to learn the VirtualOnDemand internals
Write internal software for the VirtualOnDemand product
Assist Courseware Developers with web and MySQL programming tasks
Knowledge of configuration control and quality control is a plus
Requirements:
A thorough understanding of and work experience with the following is required
Red Hat Linux (preferably a Red Hat Certified Engineer)
PHP
MySQL
JavaScript
AJAX implementation
Python
Security Clearance: Must be a US citizen with a secret clearance or be eligible to get a clearance
